Orbetello (WWF oasis) rises in the middle of the lagoon dividing it into two bodies of water. At the edge of the lagoon in the ancient stables of the Spanish cavalry we will taste the fish and dishes prepared according to the ancient recipes of the fishing tradition of this part of Maremma.

About The Event
The city of Orbetello rises in the middle of the homonymous lagoon dividing it into two bodies of water, also WWF oasis, ("Laguna di Levante" and "Laguna di Ponente"). It has a very important history and from 1557 it was the seat of the State of the Presidia of Spain. The Tasting Center at the edge of the lagoon in the ancient stables of the Spanish cavalry is a representative stage of the production cycle of the fishermen of Orbetello. We will taste the fish and dishes prepared according to the ancient recipes of the fishing tradition of this part of Maremma.
Possible program of the day:
Departure early in the morning from Rome
Arrival at Orbetello around 10:30 am
Depending on weather/season/availability: tour of the lagoon/visit to a farm/visit to the ruins of the Roman town of Cosa/ walk through the Feniglia nature reserve.
